Zunya: Nature Cycles

I left California in the middle of a drought when the wildfires had just begun, landing in the jungles of Costa Rica during rainy season.

I felt the absence of man’s footprint driving through the Rain Forests in search of the perfect wave. Even in the crowded beach towns, there wasn’t much litter, and compared to the surrounding nature, these cities felt small and somehow at peace with their surroundings.

Reflecting on how humans have interacted with nature over the years. The only conclusion I came to was that nature goes through its own cycles and we are part of that whether we’re aware of it or not.
