I’ve been following my own path through media and the internet.
I graduated from UCSC in 2004 with a degree in Film and Digital Media and a desire to see the world. I was able to accomplish this through becoming a freelance camera man for travel series “Abroad” which took me all over Europe in 2005/2006. This experience lead to a job working aboard The Scholarship (International Study Abroad Program) where I was responsible for creating marketing materials, and teaching digital photography and video to the students aboard the ship.
From there I shifted gears and began working on a documentary series focused at South Central LA “The Pueblos”. I was co-DP of this web series and the primary editor. My work on this project lead me to being brought on to another socially minded documentary to be shot in Tanzania, Africa. I was one of the camera operators and lead editor for the feature film “Wazi: Strength through Unity”.
In order to better understand the ways of the documentary world I went to work for Hart Perry(Harlan County, USA) in New York where I worked as an associate producer and camera operator for the Vh-1 Documentary Fame, as well as editing fund raising materials for his latest project “State of the Union”.
Having experienced the more traditional forms of media, I decided to branch out into the wild west of the Internet, and began freelancing for front runners such as VBS.tv, Wired.com, and Vevo.com. This landed me a position as In-house producer for BUZZMedia where I produced over 500 videos before moving on. I have started working with clients directly, creating original content for brands and for different distribution channels.
