Wazi film is a documentary I shot, directed and edited in conjunction with Agency Left. The project took us to the mountains of Africa, where we spent two months chronicling the lives of those infected with HIV/AIDS. We used HVX-200’s and incorporated an entirely digital workflow using P2 cards and Apple computers. I created custom scene files for the camera, used different frame rates, and stylized B-roll to achieve desired moods. Working closely with a translator we developed the story of our characters, giving insight into what life is really like for those living with the deadly virus. State of the Union is a feature length documentary being developed by Hart Perry and Rick MacArthur about the end of the American middle class and the consequence for young people. It is shown by chronicling the changes that have occurred in Fostoria, Ohio, a small town like many towns in the heartland of America. Currently seeking funding, I edited together this teaser to be used in the process.

This high-energy piece is one of many lifestyle/branding videos I created for Red Bull. These videos were shot all over the country and used to highlight the image and style of the popular energy drink.

I shot, directed and edited this documentary in conjunction with Agency Left in South Central Los Angeles. From drug wars to gang violence, this film addresses the long standing tensions that exist between the Black and Latino communities. Shot on DVX-100a in 24p with custom transitions created in AfterEffects.
